Homemade Custom Guinea Pig Cages - Cubes & Coroplast C&C

Homemade Custom Guinea Pig Cages - Cubes & Coroplast C&C Video Clips. Duration : 1.50 Mins.

Two homemade cages that my son and I designed for his guinea pig Blaster. While those wire cube cages ( C&C) are cheap and easy to make, they offer very little stability compared to wire shelving. The difference in cost is very little while the gain in stability is substantial. We call the downstairs cage "the pig pen" . The upstairs cage in his bedroom is the "town house". The combined cost for both cages was about .00. Tools and materials used were 1) Bolt cutters. 2) Pliers (regular, needle nose & Vise-grip). 3) A whole mess of Zip-ties. 4) Stainless steel binder clips. 5) Two pieces 2'x4' quarter sheet of plywood. 6) Eight pieces 12"x12" vinyl floor tile . 7) A full sheet of coroplast (4'x8'). 8) Hot glue gun. 9) One strip of white J channel (typically used for wall panels). If you are interested in making a cage of your own and need some help, please feel free to send us a message with your questions. My plans are available FOR FREE, just ask. You may use them to make the same cage we did or modify them to your needs. The design is very flexible..
